I’m always on the go, looking for action and excitement, experimenting and trying new things; that’s who I am- an adventurer in Chicago. The excitement of the streets, what is revealed in the dusk and the dawn, the wonder and brilliance of the smallest insects fascinate me. Many of my pictures are shot in the rain. These rainy photos produce such a good feeling, it’s almost like time has been suspended and the moment is frozen forever.Mike B.
I like to photograph artistic things; color and light, shapes and sunlight. I like strong lines, deep colors and architecture. I like being able to walk right into a picture; to feel that the picture is 3-dimensional.Daniel G.
Please Enjoy: “The Real King of the NBA” “Moonlight Over Chi-Town” “The Fountain in Gray” “Wrigleyville Romp”Aimee D.
I’ve also always been fascinated by old fashioned sepia pictures. They also suggest otherworldliness. Would you think I took this picture in 2014?Dionte N.
I love to go on outings around the city looking for statues. I may not always know who they are, but I feel the pull of history and the beginning of a new story. Going out to shoot pictures with friends is a shared adventure. Something new to look forward to and something new to learn.Sami B.
It’s great fun to walk around and take pictures. I love to capture pictures that brighten your mood. You never know when something will fire your imagination. It could be peoples’ legs, colors, flowers, a lit Christmas tree or twinkling stars. If it looks good, I’ll snap it.Percy G.
Every picture I take is special. In shooting the manhole cover, cars stopped for me. They could have run me down, but they didn’t! In the umbrella picture, it felt great to be protected by all those statues with umbrellas. I became a protected member of the group. The sculpture reminds me of times when I was on the balance beam or balancing on skates; how brave.Aisha O.
I love to travel and sightsee. On this trip, I took the Metra train to Springfield where I went to a rally for people with disabilities. It was great because I met a lot of other people with and without disabilities. I think it’s important to stand up for your rights.Sandra W.
My favorite picture is the silhouette of the horse near Union Station. That horse represents freedom as he flies across the sky free.Tom D.
I’m very interested in history, especially Chicago history. After a trip to the Chicago Cultural Center, I got very interested in skyscrapers because Chicago had the earliest hi-rise buildings. All my photos are of Chicago skyscrapers.Thomas W.
