I have been with ASV for a long time, so now I am always ready to shoot pictures when that big moment is within sight. I think that is a perfect image of Jesus. It contains all the elements of his story and it depicts his serenity and wisdom. I snapped White Sox rookie #79 Jose Abreau, because I think he will lead the Sox to victory. I love the clouds all lit up. It was as if I was receiving a postcard, it was so perfect.Kenny S.
I love running and biking. I carry my camera and shoot pictures of my favorite routes- and water features are usually a part of them. I love being outside and feeling stronger with each run or ride. I can remember those feelings through my pictures.Jimmy M.
I love fashion and preserving images that allow everyone to see and share the beautiful moments in life. I take a lot of shadow pictures; me casting my movie with dream people, me saying, ‘look at me, see me, look at him, and see him.’ My many shadow pictures are about the hidden wounds that you can’t always see because they’re on the inside.Lynn W.
I love to go on outings around the city looking for statues. I may not always know who they are, but I feel the pull of history and the beginning of a new story. Going out to shoot pictures with friends is a shared adventure. Something new to look forward to and something new to learn.Sami B.
I really like to take pictures of Chicago’s buildings. When you look at our beautiful cityscape, you see the real Chicago. Visitors and residents see beauty, and the good, kind people working in those buildings; not crime. I shoot the skyscrapers because I’m basically afraid of heights and looking down. My pictures connect me to the buildings by letting me look up.Henry J.
I’m very interested in history, especially Chicago history. After a trip to the Chicago Cultural Center, I got very interested in skyscrapers because Chicago had the earliest hi-rise buildings. All my photos are of Chicago skyscrapers.Thomas W.
I look for the light; sun rises, sunsets, or simply the glow of reflected light. I try to catch what the light reveals. Those moments are beautiful and peaceful. Each of these pictures glow, and that absolutely warms me.Cheryl H.
Photography is a way to dive into the natural world and snap momentos of those beautiful moments. I was walking along and the “moment” jumped out at me when I saw the light behind the building and the tree branch in front of it. It was like the building framed the tree. Being a nature lover, I thought it was a great picture.Kelvin C.
I love the sky and the buildings and bridges and the art deco elements that are Chicago. The bird soaring over the city in an endless sky, says to me, “this is the land of the free and the home of the brave.”Calvin G.
I love taking pictures in Chicago because I love the town.Ralph C.
