74 Artists, 3 Weeks To Go Before The ASV 2018 Photo Exhibition

The 74 artists participating in this year’s photo exhibition show great promise. Their talent, creativity and imagination have grown immensely through the winter and now final preparations are being made before their photographic artwork is introduced to the public June 8-10 at 721 N. LaSalle Street in Chicago.

For the artists, preparations include choosing which photos to display in the show, writing Artist Statements and having their individual portraits taken. The statements and portraits will be framed and hung alongside each artist’s photos. Photo Team volunteers are  spending a great deal of time in these last three weeks carefully cleaning picture frames and meticulously framing each new photo to be displayed. With 74 artists and numerous photos per artist, it is a big job, one that many of these volunteers have joyfully done every year since the first ASV Photo Exhibition, 16 years ago.
