Welcome From The After Supper Visions Photo Team

Greetings and thank you for your interest in After Supper Visions. After Supper Visions has been “Developing Film, Talent and Hope” since 2002. Because of the pandemic, we have not been able to hold our annual photography exhibition in the past two years,  featuring prints taken by guests at Catholic Charities Tuesday Night Suppers. However, we continue to have photography classes with the artists when possible and plan for the Next Steps in this program.

All year long, you can view and purchase an impressive array of photos right from this website. The artists continue to amaze us, as they discover their talents as photographers and share a glimpse into their world, including photos of Chicago’s world-class architecture and magnificent lakefront. Over the past nineteen years, some artists have earned enough from the sale of their artwork to make security deposits on apartments, pay tuition at community colleges, buy a new camera or computer, and become employed as photographers.

We are tremendously grateful to the art patrons and corporate professionals who support ASV each year. They often tell us how much they have learned from meeting the artists and discussing photography with them. Catholic Charities has begun its second century of service to those in need in Chicago. For all Visions artists, we pray that this photography program continues to be a beacon of hope in their lives.

Visions would not be possible without the generous donation of time and talent from a dedicated group of volunteers who work with us throughout each year. Their commitment to helping those in need express themselves through the art of photography inspires us all.

Gratefully,
Fr. Wayne Watts, Ellen Gorney, Jody O’Connor, Noreen Russo & Maureen Kelly
