ASV is thrilled to be collaborating with the Chicago Photography Center to bring the work of ASV artists to its expansive community of art enthusiasts.
Over the past seven years, CPC volunteers have worked with over fifty adults who live in shelters or supported housing in Chicago. The volunteers plan monthly photo walks, discuss photography, critique each other’s work and hold an annual exhibit of CPC Outreach Photography.
This summer, CPC graciously is including the work of twenty-four ASV artists in this three week exhibition. It begins with a special Opening Reception this Sunday, July 20th, from 2-4PM at CPC, 621 W. Belmont. It is free and open to the public. Two photos from each of the twenty-four ASV artists will be on display and prints from both groups will be for sale.
CPC hosts a wide range of classes and workshops throughout the year, on the history, fundamentals and the business of photography. Meetings especially for women photographers and a camp for teens are featured this summer, as well. ASV is very grateful for the opportunity to be part of this signature event on Chicago’s Art Community calendar.
