It’s (Almost) Showtime

Framing begins in earnest this week in anticipation of the 2015 ASV Photo Exhibition.

Volunteer Veronica Gladowski (above) generously assists as founding ASV Photo Team Members Jody O’Connor (center) and Ellen Gorney (right) use meticulous planning to professionally mat and frame every print that will be on display at the show.

The work of 62 artists will be featured and ten of these joined the project for the first time this year. Fifty-two of the artists used disposable cameras, and ten used digital cameras. The result will be a wide array of beautiful photographic artwork, including Chicago’s famous landmarks and gorgeous natural settings.

All of the volunteers agree that this year’s group of artists showed an extraordinary hunger to learn, about photography and about their own talents behind the camera. They persevered since September, to attend classes and challenge themselves to achieve new levels of creative success. Now, they very much look forward to the chance to meet everyone at the exhibit, and show people the way they see things through their art.

Please see the flier on our HOME page. Stop by after work Friday, or join us on Saturday afternoon. Bring your family, friends and colleagues to this unique and uplifting gallery experience. Thank you for your support of ASV and its artists.
