2016 ASV Photo Exhibition Opens Tomorrow

The moments have been captured on film. The artists have decided which photos they want to showcase. The Photo Team has meticulously framed and hung those photos.

And now, the 14th Annual After Supper Visions Photography Exhibition opens its doors to the public, beginning tomorrow, Friday, June 10th from 5-7PM at 721 N. LaSalle Street, continuing on Saturday, June 11th from 1-3PM. Free admission both days. Bring your friends, family and colleagues to this truly inspirational event. Come – you will be so glad you did!

Catholic Charities Project Manager Katie Tuten was hard at work this week, selling ASV cards at the Catholic Charities Senior Unity Mass. New Horizons

There are people who make other people smile at the mention of their name. ASV artist Mike B. is one of them. He is a remarkable photographer and generous member of the ASV program, always willing to give advice and support to new artists every year. Mike also is an accomplished, courageous person, expanding the visions of life for all who see the striking images he captures on film from his wheelchair. Now, a corporate client is interested in his work, and Mike is making a portfolio of all of his ASV photos since he joined the program in 2009. Here Mike is yesterday, putting his collection of ASV photos together while the Photo Team frames all of the artists’ photos, in preparation for the upcoming annual photo exhibition. Come meet Mike and all of the 2016 ASV artists on June 10th (5-7pm) and June 11th (1-3PM), at 721 N. LaSalle Street in Chicago. Expand your horizons and join us.

Thank You, Gene & Georgetti’s & Goose Island!

The list of ASV corporate sponsors continues to grow, as the 14th Annual ASV Photo Exhibition nears on June 10th and 11th.

Two legendary Chicago businesses are making significant donations to ASV this year: Gene & Georgetti’s restaurant is donating the appetizers and Goose Island Brewery is donating the beer for the Opening Gallery event on Friday, June 10th. These donations are greatly appreciated, as they off-set the expenses for this special evening and allow ASV artists to benefit more from the proceeds of this two-day event. One Of A Kind Show

There was a fabulous turnout and fabulous accolades for ASV artists at the recent Spring launch of the One Of A Kind Show at the Merchandise Mart.

Scenes From Lagunitas’ TapRoom

It was another hugely successful event on Monday, April 25th when the Friends of ASV met at Lagunitas’ TapRoom to kick off the excitement for the upcoming 14th Annual ASV Photo Exhibition on June 10th and 11th.

Seen below are (l. to r.): ASV artist Mike B. with Fr. Wayne Watts; Louie and Noreen Russo; Ann Grelecki, Claire Plurad and Eric Sitterly, plus Platform 29 taking the stage to a packed house.

A great time was had by all, raising $1600 that will go toward the expenses of the Gallery Opening on June 10th. Thank you, to the Lagunitas Brewing Co., for your support of ASV and its artists!
