The After Supper Visions Programs extends warmest thanks to a number of corporate sponsors who were instrumental in the success of this year’s exhibition.
Special recognition goes to The Weber Grill Restaurant, with a donation of $1000, the preparation of delicious food for Friday’s Opening Night, and the generosity of 40 Weber Grill volunteers who kindly offered their assistance to make all go smoothly that evening.
Other donations were provided by: Union Wine Company; Glunz Family Winery and Cellars; Hideout Inn; Gemini Framing; and Olympus Digital Camera.
Over 300 people attended the exhibition, and over $18,000 was raised, with 70% of every print sold going directly to the artist who took each selected photograph.
Thank you to all who attended ASV 2015…and Congratulations to all of the participating artists! Your dedication to photography, and to this program continues to inspire us all!

Thank you to everyone who has purchased photos from the new 2015 collection posted on this website. Please tell your family, friends and colleagues about these beautiful photos, and remind them that the photographer who took each photo directly benefits from your purchase of their print(s).
New Artist classes began in July and, due to the resounding success of the 2015 ASV Photo Exhibition, 20 NEW ARTISTS came to participate in the classes. These artists will be well prepared as the new ASV season fully begins again in September.
ASV photos also will be shown at Catholic Charities’ 14th Annual Gala Of The Arts, an elegant evening featuring performing and visual arts, held this year on Friday, September 11th at the historic Navy Pier Grand Ballroom. Guests will enjoy cocktails, dinner and raffle prizes as they stroll through a Art Show and Sale featuring local and nationally recognized artists. ASV photos will be included among these, a real credit to the talents of ASV artists.
Guests also will dance to the sounds of ABBA tribute band, ABBAFAB and NBC 5 News Anchor Allison Rosati will serve as Emcee for the evening. This black tie optional event has become one of Chicago’s premier social events, benefitting Catholic Charities’ Emergency Assistance Programs. Every 30 seconds someone turns to Catholic Charities for help, and often their needs are met first by the these essential programs.
Tickets start at $250 per person. For more details, sponsorship opportunities or to reserve your tickets, please visit www.catholiccharities.net or contact Judy Silekis at jsilekis@catholiccharities.net.
The artists participating in After Supper Visions 2015 proudly present their photographic works on art, after an exciting Gallery Opening exhibit last weekend.
Please click on the GALLERY/STORE page of this website to see the powerful images, and know that 70% of every purchase goes directly to the artist who took each photograph.
A huge crowd gathered Friday evening for the Gallery Opening, eagerly walking through the gallery, visiting with the artists and seeing their much-anticipated work. Many of the guest shoppers spent time at the checkout not only talking about what touched them about the beauty of the art, but also the inspiration that evolves from the conversations they had with the artists.
Catholic Charities Senior Vice-President Kathy Donahue was especially grateful for the generosity of new corporate sponsor Weber Grill: “The Weber Grill staff were wonderful,” Kathy said. “People raved about the food, which included large grilled shrimp wrapped in bacon, pulled pork sandwiches and mini grilled hamburgers and cheeseburgers. The servers donated their time as well. All of this generosity helps the program grow and continue.”
The exhibit continued Saturday afternoon, with many of the artists looking forward to continuing in the program as a new season starts in September .
Speaking with the ASV Photo Team at the end of Friday’s opening event, longtime artist, friend and skilled photographer Mike Becker said, “Thank you so much for all you do. This year was very uplifting.” ASV Photo Team members and many attendees had the very same reaction.

The work of 62 artists will be featured and ten of these joined the project for the first time this year. Fifty-two of the artists used disposable cameras, and ten used digital cameras. The result will be a wide array of beautiful photographic artwork, including Chicago’s famous landmarks and gorgeous natural settings.
All of the volunteers agree that this year’s group of artists showed an extraordinary hunger to learn, about photography and about their own talents behind the camera. They persevered since September, to attend classes and challenge themselves to achieve new levels of creative success. Now, they very much look forward to the chance to meet everyone at the exhibit, and show people the way they see things through their art.
